It Was Real
It was real and I am blessed. For this last post, I'm going to use it to 'thank' some key people who have been so supportive and amazing to me these last four years, because I really don't think I could've done it without them. Honestly, high school was pretty great. Like everyone says their so ready to go off to college but I'm pretty scared, and as a person who generally embraces change, that's surprising to me. I loved IB even when I absolutely hated it, and I especially love the people I met along the way. So with that, here are some people who deserve all of the thanks and recognition in the world.
My Parents!!!
Ok so for starters I AM so lucky to have the most amazing relationship with my parents because I know not everyone is lucky enough to have that. They really are the best ever and I am so grateful to have them in my life. They are so supportive of me and both of my brothers, driving us to countless sports tournaments and music performances and never complaining about it. Not only that, but they are both absolute geniuses and while that puts a lot of pressure on me sometimes, it's nice to always have someone to edit my papers or help me in French (but I was really on my own in math so no thanks for that sorry)
MY DAD
Here's us at our first Bruce Springsteen concert, and our most recent Bruce Springsteen concert. Not pictured here is the time that we flew to Perth, Australia from Singapore on a red eye Friday night, got there 7am Saturday, saw Springsteen Saturday, and flew back Sunday night, arriving in Singapore at 6am and going to school. What I have most to thank my dad for is for constantly immersing me in music. From teaching me instruments to playing me his bands recordings from high school to coming up to my room on a Friday night and being like "Josie I just bought tickets to this band I haven't heard before we're leaving in 30 min", my life is better with his music in it. Now currently I AM mad at him because he bought tickets to Springsteen in NYC this summer and isn't taking me, but it's okay because I know there are more concerts coming.
Next, I am thankful to him for introducing my brothers and I to hockey!!! He took me to my first game when I was 6 months old in a Carolina Hurricanes onesie and we've been going ever since. Even though they've actually sucked for the past 9 years, I love going to games with him and watching him have his whole mood changed by 6 guys skating around on ice for 2 hours. My favorite memory was in the playoffs in 2006 when my youngest brother was born on the 13th, and my dad left my mom in the hospital to take me to Game 5 with him on the 15th. Die hard fan.
Lastly, I want to thank him for all of the support he gave me in the college application process. I WAS stressed, and scared, and in over my head. He went on every tour with me, edited every single one of my essays, and bought me a coffee every time we went to write at the Harris Teeter pictured on the left. I genuinely could not have done it without him.
MY MOM

IT WAS a crazy two years for my mom as she enrolled at NCSU for grad school, but she continued to be the best mom ever and also get all As in her classes. I am so proud of her and so lucky to be able to have her as a mom. She is literally my best friend and I'm tearing up writing this because I'm going to miss her so much next year #soft
Oh and, in the middle of all that she trained for and ran a half marathon in 2 1/2 hours so there's that too.
MY LITTLE BROTHERS
I'm actually being truthful when I say that I love them, but I am also being truthful when I say IT WAS hard sometimes when they would not shut up or would not stop playing floor hockey upstairs when I WAS trying to do my homework.
MY BEST FRIEND
If you don't already have Kate Wartski in your life then you need to get her in your life that's all. I WAS so lucky to meet her in choir and in volleyball (her one year claim to fame) and she has been pivotal in my high school time. From singing together at open mic nights to winning cornhole on the cruise to just yesterday riding coasters at Busch Gardens, Kate has been there for me through everything. She embodies every characteristic of what a best friend should be and I am so lucky she is mine. I don't even know if she'll see this but Kate you're the bomb.
ANYWAYS sorry this was so long but I just thought I'd take this chance to give thanks to the people who mean the most to me in my life, and who I wouldn't have made it through high school without. IT WAS AMAZING

I DID SEE THIS AND I LOVE YOU BFF YOU'RE THE MOST AMAZING OUT OF ALL OF THESE. LIVE YOUR DREAMS AT WAKE WOOO YOU'RE AMAZING.
